We’ll be exploiting this new plot from 2014 on.
This small Côte de Nuits village is a former stronghold of the Citeaux Abbey.
It features two superb Grands Crus: Bonnes Mares and Musigny.
The AOC designation of origin dates back to September 1936, as one of the very first in France.
The vineyards are found at 250 to 300 m in altitude, facing the east. The bedrock is close to the surface, the soil is not very thick and there are several fissures in the hard limestone which allows the roots to sink deep into the Jurassic subsoil.

A red wine which is often presented as the most feminine of Côte de Nuits.
The intensity and finesse are expressed with elegant subtleness.
The wine is rich and complex with a full bouquet and silky and lacy on the palate.
The fleshy delicateness doesn’t prevent it from maintaining a solid, sustainable structure.
