The appellation formed at the foot of the slope of the Grands Crus :
These vineyards enjoy an eastern exposure, are well drained and are planted on brown calcic soil with silt deposits. The wines produced here are the most delicate and naturally balanced, offering remarkable fullness and length. The most well-known climats of the Domaine are: Aux Etelois, Champs Cheny, Aux Corvées and, located a little bit further down, les Seuvrées.

A fruity, quite firm wine, good length in the mouth, very ample, with firm tannins. Drink in five years’ time, or even later, as regards years which keep well.
