The appellation formed on the lower slopes of Côte St. Jacques and Brochon :
The terroir consists of stable soil. The wines produced here are the most powerful and fleshy. These rich, splendid, aromatic wines have great ageing potential. Examples include: Au Vellé, En Champs, Champerrier and Jeune Rois.
Our parcel of old vines in Champerrier is our oldest in all of Gevrey. The vines were planted by Félix Tortochot in 1920. They produce a wine with marvelous density and texture.
